Our client, Andersen Corporation (aka Andersen Windows & Doors), retained us to help identify and recruit one of their top new supply chain executives, their Vice President of Strategic ProcurementAndersen viewed strategic procurement  as the development of a true partnership between themselves and key suppliers of strategic value. They were looking to negotiate and build long-term arrangements, many single-source in nature, to addresses not only the buying of parts, products, and services, but also product design and supplier capacity. Such partnering agreements would allow for the mutual exchange of confidential information, proprietary restrictions, non-disclosure, non-compete, certification of processes, routine audits, delivery performance, quality performance, as well as the transfer of control of certain processes and  product. That’s a lot on one executive’s plate.
